Facebook Insights Audience Insights provides aggregate analytic information about two groups of people.  The people connected to your Facebook Page (Facebook Business Page) and people (audience) on Facebook.  Social Media Marketing (SMM) is all about resonating with your audience, whether is be on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, LInkedIn, etc.  The more insights that we can have at our fingertips the more we can learn about people (audience).  The more information we have the more we can create meaningful social media campaigns that target the audience that best associates with our products and services.  We use Facebook Audience Insights to examine three groups of people…

In using Facebook Audience Insights, we obtain aggregate information, such as, 

1. Demographics: Age and gender, lifestyle, education, relationship status, job role and household size

2. Page Likes: The Top Pages people like in different categories 

3. Location & Language: Where do people live and what languages

4. Facebook Usage: How frequently are people in your target audience logging onto Facebook and what devices they are using to log on

5. Purchases Activity: Past purchase behavior and purchase methods (in-store or online)

Audience Insights is different than Page Insights because it looks at trends about your current or potential customers across Facebook, whereas Page Insights look at the intersections with your Page (Likes, Comments & Shares).  Audience Insights is within Ads Manager.
